Detailed Itinerary: 6 Day Safari in Rwanda
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel in Kigali and Do Kigali Genocide Memorial Tour.
Depending on your arrival time, if its during morning hours, we can have a visit to the 2 genocide memorial sites of Nyamata Genocide Memorial Center and the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Nyamata was a catholic church that was turned out to be the place of massacre inside the church although the church was looked at as holy place but it turned out to be a place for massacres because most of the church leaders participated in the killings. After your visit to the genocide sites, transfer to Nyungwe National Park for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: A waterfall hike and an afternoon Canopy walk.

You will have your breakfast early in the morning then go for a morning waterfall Hike and after lunch, you will enjoy the memorable canopy walk with beautiful views of the magical Nyungwe forest. Both the morning Waterfall hike and the Afternoon canopy walk provides access to the unique species that lives in the forest canopies. After the long day you will come back to the lodge for an overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest National Park and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
You can enjoy the simple pleasure of trekking along well-maintained trails over the beautiful, green valleys of the tropical rainforest during this portion of the Rwanda safari you will be driven to the park headquarters for the start of chimp trek. After the trek in the middle of the forest, you’ll set up a picnic lunch and take in the friendly service of this beautiful African jungle. Later return to the lodge, check out and set off northwards to Volcanoes National Park for an overnight.

Day 4: Go for Gorilla Trekking and a Cultural Entertainment
After an early Morning breakfast drive to the park headquarters at Kinigi for briefing which takes like 45 minutes. Then you will be driven to the beginning of the trekking point. A packed lunch, suitable clothing, shoes, and a walking stick are essential before entering this enormous forest. Enjoy spending an hour with the gorillas which is the only time each gorilla family is permitted to be visited per day as soon as you encounter them. As the gorillas perform their daily activities the young ones playing with the elderly, feeding one another, and eating foliage—observe and record this unforgettable experience. The highlight of this entire safari is seeing these magnificent creatures. Later in the evening we can take a tour to the Gorilla guardians for a cultural visit and back to the lodge for an overnight.

Day 5: Go for Golden Monkey Trekking and Visit to the Twin Lakes.
Golden Monkey in Volcanoes National Park
After the morning breakfast we will drive to the park headquarters for briefing and then transfer you to the beginning of the golden monkey trekking point. After the Golden monkey trekking, enjoy the boat cruise at the Twin Lakes while viewing several Islands with unique geographic formation feature including the punishment island in the heart of Rubondo Lake. The boat cruise offers one of the best photographic moments. You can also choose to do Canoeing. After the amazing day you will head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 6: Cultural visit and departure
After having your breakfast, you will have another Village or community tour in the Gorilla Guardians Village before returning to Kigali for the departure which marks the end of your safari.
