Uganda Gorillas And Wildlife Safari: Bwindi & Lake Mburo. Our 4-day gorilla trekking and wildlife safari journey takes you to Lake Mburo National park, which is Uganda’s smallest park in the west and is naturally endowed with savannah vegetation. All these combine to give you fantastic views of wild game like zebras, giraffes and some of the big five including hippos. The 4 Days Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife will also take you to the Bwindi Impenetrable National park in Southwestern Uganda, where you will do gorilla trekking in the dense jungle of the park, which will capture your heart. Kampala, the capital of Uganda, will serve as both the starting and finishing point of the journey.

Detailed itinerary: 4 Days Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife

Day 1 : Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo national Park.

Following your breakfast, the trip will commence with a pick up from your accommodation facility  in  Kampala and transfer to Lake Mburo national park in the West for 3 -4 hours. Upon arrival at the park, check in at the reserved accommodation facility and embark on a game drive through the trails. Expect to see wild game like zebras, giraffes, antelopes and hyenas. Before night fall, return to the lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest.

Meal plan: Bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Nature walk and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Kick off the day with an early morning nature walk in the park giving you an up-close of the park’s wildlife together with beautiful scenaries. Later, transfer to the lodge for breakfast and meet the driver for another transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. The 5-6 hours’ drive will take through the rolling hills of Kibale and scenic views of nature. On arrival, check in at the booked lodge where you will dine and have a good night’s sleep.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

On the gorilla day, wake up early enough for breakfast and meet the driver for a transfer to the Park headquarters for registration and briefing about the dos and don’ts of the activity. Later, proceed to the trail head and commence the search for gorillas which will take you between 2- 8 hours depending on their movement. You will be given 1 hour to stay with the gorillas once you have found them and take pictures. Dinner and overnight sleep at the lodge.

Day 4: Departure to Kampala.

Start the day with breakfast and get ready for a 9-hour transfer journey back to Kampala, stopping along the way for lunch in Mbarara town and refreshments at Equator. This concludes our safari.
