1 Day Gorilla Trekking Rwanda from Kigali to Volcanoes
Trekking the Mountain Gorillas is one of the most amazing experiences. A day is just enough for a quick tour to see the gentle mountain gorillas in the conservation area of Volcanoes National Park. Volcanoes National Park is in the Northwestern part of Rwanda in a district called Musanze, bordering Virunga National Park of Congo and Mgahinga in Uganda. Volcanoes National Park sits in the mountainous area with volcanoes of Sabinyo, Bisoke, Muhavura, Gahinga and Karisimbi. The main attractions of this park are the mountain Gorillas and the Golden Monkeys. Some of the other attractions in the Park include Buffaloes, and different bird species. While in Musanze, you can choose to also Visit the Musanze Caves, the Gorilla Guardians or the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, the Dian Fossey Grave or even the Twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

Detailed Itinerary: 1 Day Gorilla Trekking Rwanda
This 1 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Tour will start and end in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda (The Land of a Thousand Hills). Our driver will pick you from your Hotel (after having breakfast or with packed breakfast) at 4:30 am to start on your scenic journey to Volcanoes National Park. The journey is so fascinating with beautiful landscapes and undulating hills that give views of some of the African Beauty.
On reaching the Volcanoes Park offices, you will be briefed on the rules / guidelines for trekking the gorillas and then assigned to a gorilla group to track. After the briefing, you will then proceed to track the mountain gorillas.
Once you spot the gorillas, follow instructions from the ranger guides. You will be allowed to spend up to 1 hour with them. The experience in the jungle and meeting the gorillas is sometimes underrated when described but what I can say is that, its magical. After the trekking, you will trail back to meet your driver guide. You will then transfer back to Kigali which marks the end of your 1 day gorilla trekking Rwanda.
