Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to Hotel
At the Kigali International Airport you are welcomed and picked by a driver guide who drives you to your hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Hotel Chezlando.
Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Today you are transferring to Nyungwe Forest National Park a journey that offers you en-route views of the green terrain, birds and lunch. After a while driving, you reach the Park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe Forest
Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe
Today wake up very early in the morning have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters where you are briefed on the conduct around the Chimpanzees. After the briefing, proceed to the Cyamudongo Forest where you leave from to enter the green forest vegetation to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours. After a while, yo meet the Chimpanzees and stay in their presence for an hour taking photos to keep.
After Chimpanzee Tacking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel.
Day 4 of the 9 Days Budget Rwanda Chimps, Gorillas and Wildlife Safari: Transfer to Kibuye town
Today enjoy breakfast then transfer to Kibuye Town via the green tea plantations then Lake kivu. After you continue to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Hotel Paradis Malahide.
Day 5: Transfer to Gisenyi then Volcanoes National Park
Wake up today have breakfast then transfer to the North East to Gisenyi. On reaching here, break off for lunch then go to Volcanoes National Park for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park
Gorilla Trekking Day is here after having breakfast then you proceed to the Park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Gorillas. After precise briefing, you continue to the green forest to trek the Gorillas with a park ranger guide for 3-5 hours.
After a while in the forest, you get to meet the Gorillas then in a distance of 7 meters take photos with a camera that has no flash to keep with you. After Gorilla Trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.
Day 7: Transfer to Akagera National Park
Get up early in the morning have breakfast then transfer to Akagera National Park. En-route view the green terrain vegetation, birds and lunch. Later you reach the park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge.
Day 8: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on Lake Ihema
Enjoy a Game Drive along the various tracks in the park in a 4×4 vehicle watching wildlife animals wandering around their natural vegetation. The wildlife animals you watch include; lions, elephants, buffaloes, bush and water bucks, warthogs, giraffes.After Game Drive, break off for lunch then to Lake Ihema for Boat Cruise along the lake watching hippos and crocodiles as well as other wildlife animals along the shores. After cruise, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 9: Depart to Kigali
Get up early have breakfast then depart to Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
