Detailed Itinerary of the 8 Days Rwanda Safari
Day 1: Arrival to Hotel
Reaching the Kigali International Airport, you are picked up by a driver guide who briefs and takes you to check-in your hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Hotel Chezlando.
Day 2: City Tour then to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Today enjoy breakfast then later proceed on City Tour around Kigali City visiting the Genocide memorials, National museums. National Market then later have lunch. After lunch break, proceed on your way to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Check-in Lodge Dinner and Overnight. Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe Forest National Park
Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe
Early breakfast then drive to the park headquarters for short briefing on the conduct around the Chimpanzees. You are distributed into groups of 8 with a park ranger guide as the head of the group then later transferred to Cyamudongo Forest to track the Chimpanzees. Track them for 2-4 hours and when you meet them, an hour is allowed in their presence taking photos. After Chimpanzee tracking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel.
Day 4: Canopy & Nature Walks
Have delicious breakfast then transfer on a canopy walk traversing at the top of the gigantic Mahogany Trees at 50 meters high from the ground. En-route watch many primates like monkeys, birds as well as green terrain vegetation at a distance. After traversing the Canopy walkway, you return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Day 5: Drive to Lake Kivu
Today enjoy your breakfast then transfer to lake Kivu after Kibuye Town where you have lunch then later continue to check-in lodge for Diner and Overnight. Malachite hotel.
Day 6: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Today have breakfast then proceed on journey to Ruhengeri District Musanze Rwanda at Volcanoes National Park. En-route you watch the greenery, misty hills and canopies then lunch. After you reach the Park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Wake up early have breakfast and head to the park headquarters to be briefed about the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger, enter the forest to track the Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed in their presence taking various photos to keep for memories. After Gorilla Trekking, proceed back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mountain Gorilla View lodge.
Day 8: Departure to Kigali
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage embark on a transfer to Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
