Itinerary Details:

Day 1: Head to Bukavu Congo

In the morning, the driver guide allocated to you will pick you up from your Hotel in Kigali to drive to Congo through the Rusizi 1 Boarder. Enjoy Nature and the impressive rolling Hills as you drive through Rwanda. You will drive to Bukazu town which is surrounded by incredible landscapes and formations. The people with various ethnic backgrounds make it a unique place for those interested in Culture and tradition.
Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 2: Lowland Gorilla tracking at Kahuzi-Biega National Park

In the morning, you will have breakfast and thereafter, transfer to the park offices for registration and briefing on the dos and don’ts of Lowland Gorilla Trekking. You will enter the Jungle to trek the great apes.
You will look for the Gorillas in criss crossed reserve following the forest paths and you will stay in presence of these Giants for an hour and thereafter, head back to meet your driver guide at the starting point. In the afternoon, you may choose to go for a cultural experience visiting the community homes or opt for another activity.

Day 3: Head to the Idjwi Island

With an early breakfast, you will be picked up from the lodge by your driver to transfer for a boat to the Island. Upon arrival, you will visit the pygmies for a cultural experience and at Night, you will enjoy story telling about culture, and the island itself.

Day 4: Community Activities at the Isand

You will have breakfast in the morning and thereafter, go for some community activities like the coffee experience, actively get involved in the day to today activities and visit some other community projects.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kigali

In the morning, you will have breakfast, then transfer by boat. Connect to Rwanda and drive back to Kigali with great memories of the low Land Gorillas and diverse culture. This marks the end of your 5 Days Lowland Gorillas And Idjwi Island.
