Detailed Itinerary of the 6 Days Congo Gorilla Trekking
Day 1: Kigali and City Tour
When you reach the Kigali International Airport, you are picked up by a driver guide who transfers you on City Tour around Kigali visiting the Genocide Memorials, National Museums and National Market. After City Tour enjoy lunch then transfer to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Chezlando Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Goma Town
On reaching the Kigali International Airport, you are picked up by a driver guide who transfers you on drive traversing the Rwanda-Uganda border then after clearing the border requirements. You then proceed to use the Uganda Congo border to enter the DR Congo at Goma Town where you leave from to Virunga National Park. When you reach Virunga National Park, proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibumba Tented Camp.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Virunga National Park
Today get up very early in the morning have breakfast then proceed to the park headquarters for briefing on conduct around the Gorillas.
When finished with the briefing, you are allocated into groups of 8 with a park ranger per group then later you enter the forest to trek the Gorillas for a period of 3-5 hours.
Move along different trails in the thick forest and later you meet the Gorillas take many photos to keep. If you finish Gorilla Trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibumba Tented Camp.
Day 4: Kahuzi Biega National Park
Today Kahuzi Biega National Park is your final Destination. So transfer from your lodge after heavy breakfast to traverse into the Southern province of the Dr Congo via Bukavu Town. When you reach Bukavu Town, you continue for a few kilometers to Kahuzi Biega National Park. Lunch is en-route. Dinner and Overnight at Orchid’s Safari Club Lodge.
Day 5: Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega

Get up very early in the morning have breakfast then continue to the Park headquarters for briefing on the conduct around the Eastern Lowland Gorillas.
After short briefing, you are allocated into groups of 8 with a park ranger who leads you to enter the thick green forest habitat of Kahuzi Biega National Park to trek the Gorillas for 3-5 hours.
According to what the rangers report on current location of the Gorillas, you shall meet the Gorillas and at a distance of 7 meters, take various photos to keep with you when you go back home. Dinner and Overnight. Orchid’s Safari Club Lodge.
Day 6: Departure to Kigali
Enjoy your breakfast then with all luggage embark on departure to the Kigali International Airport to board a flight back home. You traverse the Congo-Uganda border then Uganda-Rwanda border to access the Kigali International Airport.
