Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Forest national park.

You will meet with our guide for a quick briefing at the Kigali International Airport, depending on your arrival time. Continue your journey to the Northern part of Bwindi in Uganda via the Katuna border with enroute lunch. When you arrive, check in at the lodge you have reserved for dinner, relax, eat dinner and then retire for a night.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking.

Wake up early for breakfast and bring packed lunch to the park headquarters where the ranger guides will brief you before you set out into the bush to begin your gorilla hunting trip. Depending on the gorillas’ movements, you will need about two to eight hours to finish this challenge. You will get an hour to spend with them after you find them.

Start an optional community walk to the Batwa pygmies in the evening to discover more about their traditional ways of life through songs, dances, and folklore, among other things. When you go back, have dinner and stay the night at the resort.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest national park.

Get up early enough to visit your lodge for breakfast, then check out how to catch a ride to the primate capital of the world. You will stop for lunch enroute in Fortportal, which offers beautiful views of the evergreen plantations along the way. Upon arrival, check in at the reserved lodge, have dinner and then call it a night.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland.

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing from the rangers before continuing to the jungle to have the thrilling experience of seeing chimpanzees. In addition, you may watch them play, eat, and hop from one tree to another. Thankfully, you will see other primates, such as Grey-checked mangabeys and birds. After lunch, take a nature walk to the Bigodi wetland where you may see many different birds and animals. Dinner and slumber at the lodge.

Day 5: Departure and transfer back to Kigali.

After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive back to Kigali with a quick city tour. Among other places, you will go to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center and the crafts village. You will then be driven to the airport in Kigali to catch your next flight back home. Our safari comes to an end at this point.
