The adventure starts with Rhino tracking at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary after which it takes you through Murchison falls national park where you will do a game drive and boat cruise. Detailed itinerary of 9 Days Primate and Wildlife Safaris in Uganda

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
When you reach Entebbe international airport, you will be met by our driver guide. He will drive you to your hotel in Entebbe for relaxing, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Rhino tracking in Zziwa Rhino sanctuary and Transfer to Murchison
When you are done with breakfast, you will embark on your journey to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary in order to track and see the last surviving rhinos in Uganda. Uganda is home to both black and white rhinos, however they were almost hunted to extinction decades ago. The sanctuary was established to safeguard the few surviving white rhinos and to enable their population to grow, before they can be reintroduced into the wild. When you reach there, a ranger will show you around the facility while providing you with information on their conservation and current condition. Birds, antelopes, and small primates are among the various wildlife species that call the refuge home. You will eat lunch after tracking and continue to Murchison.


Day 3: Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise and transfer to Kibale National Park.
With your packed breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive with your guide. During the game drive you will spot a number of wildlife found in the park, such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many tropical birds. After the game drive you will have lunch and go for a boat tour. With this boat, you can get up close and personal with crocodiles and over 4,000 hippos, among other aquatic creatures. The bee eaters, colourful kingfishers, shoebill storks, grey-throated, and yellow-billed birds are among the many beautiful bird species that may be seen in the Nile while on a boat excursion. Following the boat ride, you will embark on your transfer to Kibale National Park. This national park stands at an elevation of 3,300 feet, it is a rain forest with a big chimpanzee population. Each troop of chimpanzees more than100 individuals, forming a competitive social structure.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
You will get up very early in the morning and travel to Kanyanchu to begin your chimpanzee trip in Kibale Forest. At the park you will receive instructions on how to conduct yourself around the Chimpanzee. You will spot a variety of other primate and animal species as you search for these stunning chimps, such as the LHoests monkey, the black and white colobus monkey, the red-tailed monkey, the grey-cheeked mangabey, bush babies, and numerous bird species like the yellow-spotted nictor, ramped tinker, and crowed eagle, and elephants.
You can locate the chimps by listening to their pant-hooting calls, one can find these primates and quickly head to the location from which they are calling. You get to see them play, eat, interact with one another, and hop around the trees. After the long trek, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 5: Morning boat ride and game drive.
After breakfast, you will head for a morning boat cruise set on the Kazinga channel where you will get a chance to see various animals such as crocodiles, hippos, water bucks, buffaloes as well as birds like storks, king fisher among others.
When you are done with the boat cruise, you will head back to the lodge and prepare for a game drive in the Kasenyi sector. This game drive will target early morning risers and predators heading back to their dens after hunting in the night. More encounters with buffaloes, bush bucks, elephants, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Uganda Kobs, lions, and waterbucks are to be expected. Once the wildlife drive is over, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.


Day 6: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park.
After breakfast you will embark on you Journey to Mgahinga National Park situated in the southwestern parts of Uganda where you will do gorilla trekking. Mgahinga is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. You will have an en route lunch before reaching your destination. After the long drive you will check in your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Gorilla trekking adventure in Mgahinga national park and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Early in the morning you will wake up for breakfast, then head to the park headquarters for a briefing where you will receive instructions that will enable you to trek safely and smoothly. You will be given an armed park ranger, then the trek will start. When you find the gorillas, you will be allowed 1 hour with them. You should note that the time for the trek depends on the gorilla movement. When you are done with the trek you will head back to the lodge for lunch after which you will check out and head to Lake Mburo National Park.
Day 8: Game drive and boat cruise
You will eat an early breakfast on this particular day in order to get ready for the morning game drive at the park. You will begin looking for animals including zebras, impalas, Topis, and eland. In the evening, you may be able to see the stunning, multi-coloured birds as they fly to their resting spots.
Get ready for the once-in-a-lifetime lakeside boat excursion after the game drive. Many species, including crocodiles and hippos, will still be visible before returning to the lodge following the boat ride.
All of the rides start at Rwonyo Jetty, and you won’t have to wait long to start seeing big herds of buffaloes and crocodiles lining the lake’s shores. The lake is also well-known for its colorful kingfishers, magnificent fish eagles, and bird life. Should you be fortunate, you may even get a sight of the endangered shoebill storks. Once the wildlife drive is over, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 9: Transfer to Kampala
After break first you will check out of your lodge and embark on your back to Kampala. When you reach Kampala our guide will drop you off to your hotel, this marks the end of 9 Days Primate and Wildlife Safaris in Uganda.
