Detailed Itinerary: 8 Days Uganda And Rwanda Safari
Day 1: Drive to Volcanoes National Park
You reach Kigali International Airport where you are picked up by a driver guide who transfers you to the beautiful Volcanoes National Park. En-route have lunch then continue on your 2 to 3 hour journey to the park and when you reach here.

Day 2: Gorilla Trek in Volcanoes National Park
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Get up very early in the morning then transfer to the park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. After you are distributed in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide per group then later you enter the forest to trek the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours.
Trek them along different tracks and later you meet them and in an hour stay in their presence taking photos to keep. After Gorilla Trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.
Day 3: Hike Bisoke volcano to Dian Fossey center
After an early breakfast, transfer to the starting point of Bisoke Volcano where you are briefed on conduct as you hike the Mountain Volcano. After, hike for some hours then after you reach the Karisoke Research Center where you are informed about Dian Fossey who sacrificed her life to save that of the Mountain Gorillas that were overly hunted at the time. After your Dian Fossey Adventure, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.
Day 4: Batwa Cultural Trail then to Lake Bunyonyi
Get up very early in the morning have breakfast then continue on a Batwa Cultural Adventure as you visit their local communities to learn about their unique traditions, customs and way of life. After the adventure, break off for lunch then proceed for canoe ride along Lake Bunyonyi to the nearby Islands and en-route watch birds. After the Canoe Ride, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bunyonyi Overland Resort.
Day 5: Boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy early breakfast then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a Boat Ride. When you reach the shores, go on your Boat Ride around the close communities and Islands along the Lake. After the Boat Ride, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bunyonyi Overland Resort.
Day 6: Gorilla Trek at Bwindi Forest

Today wake up have breakfast at 6:30 am then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then later in allocated groups of 8 with a park ranger guide, enter the forest to trek the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours.
After a while transferring along the different trails in the green forest, you meet the Gorillas and in an hour stay in their presence taking photos to keep. After Gorilla Trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 7: Drive back to Kigali
After breakfast you will transfer to Kigali about 4 hours’ drive from Bwindi. This part of the Uganda Rwanda Tour Holiday journey is quite charming with scenic views of Kigezi highlands, Virunga Volcanoes and undulating hills of Rwanda. You will have lunch in Kigali and after a short rest be taken to the Genocide memorial at Gisozi to pay tribute to the victims of Rwandan genocide.
Day 8: Visit memorial sites in Kigali
Have early breakfast then transfer to traverse the Uganda Rwanda border to Kigali and when you get here, explore and visit the Genocide Memorials, National Museums, National Markets. After lunch, proceed to Kigali International Airport to board flight back home.
