Detailed: 12 Days Best of Rwenzori and Gorilla Safari
Day 1: Kampala to Rwenzori Base
In the morning, you will be picked by from your Hotel in Entebbe or Kampala by the driver guide to transfer to Kasese. On arrival, you will drive to your Hotel for relaxation as you prepare for your expedition. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Nyakalengeji – Nyabitaba Camp
You will be picked up from your Hotel in the morning to transfer to the Nyakalengeji (1615m) briefing point for instructions and to allocate you Guides and porters. You will then begin your adventure by trekking through the forest, and water channels to Nyabitaba camp (2651m). Dinner and overnight at Nyabitaba Camp.
Day 3: Nyabitaba Camp (2651m) – John Matte Hut (3380m)
You will have breakfast then trek through the bamboo forests and slippery moss-covered cliffs to Kurt Bridge. The trail rewards you with various flora and fauna, beautiful views of peaks (Mount Speke and Stanley). You will reach John Matte for Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Climb to Bujuku Hut (3962m)
In the morning, you will have breakfast before leaving John Matte Hut. From John Matte, you will cross Bujuku River to Bigo Hut. Proceed to Lake Bujuku, entering the savannah zone with a very beautiful view of Mount Baker and Stanley. Dinner and overnight at Bujuku Hut.
Day 5: From Bujuku Hut to Elena Hut, 4.540 m.
You will depart Bujuku Hut to trek through moss draped groundsel vegetation to Scott Elliot Pass. Walk to Elena Hut, 4.540 m. for an overnight.
Day 6: From Elena Hut to Margarita back to kitandara hut, 4.023 m.
Margherita Rwenzori
In the morning, start your trek from Elena Hut to climb the last zone of rock and ice, leading to Margherita Peak on Mt. Stanley. Enjoy the beautiful views, the snow and then descend to Upper Kitandara Lake, to Kitandara Hut where you stay for an overnight.
Day 7: From Kitandara Hut to Guy Yeoman Hut (3.261 m).
The trek will take you on a hike in the bamboo forests and lush vegetation through the Nyamwamba Valley. Some of the other interesting features in the forest include various bird species and other wildlife. You will move up to Guy Yeoman Hut where you will stay for an overnight.
Day 7: Guy Yeoman – Nyabitaba – Nyakalengija
In the morning, you will have breakfast to start Descending from Guy Yeoman to return to Nyabitaba and thereafter to Nyakalengija for Dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Kasese to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
With a breakfast in the morning, your driver guide will pick you up for your Day’s activity. Start your journey to the Gorilla Trekking National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This scenic journey rewards you with beautiful formations, friendly people and rich culture. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Entertainment
It is such an amazing experience encountering the Mountain Gorillas in their Natural Habitat. You will have an early breakfast, then transfer for briefing and instructions for your Gorilla Trekking activity in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Start the trekking with your ranger guide in the jungle searching for the mountain Gorillas. After an hour with the Gorillas, return to that start point to meet your driver guide. You may choose to relax in the afternoon or go for a community adventure. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
The transfer from Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi is interesting as you get to enjoy the beauty of different formations which offer photographic opportunities. On arrival at Lake Bunyonyi, you can choose to relax or go for a boat ride, Bird watching, cultural entertainment before retiring for Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.
Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala
You will have breakfast in the morning, and start the drive back to Kampala or Connect to Kigali which marks the end of your safari.
