Detailed Itinerary of the 8 Days Budget Rwanda Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival to Bwindi Forest National Park (Rushaga)

When at Entebbe International Airport, you are welcomed, briefed about safari and transferred by a driver guide who transfers you to the South West of Uganda to Bwindi Forest National park located close to the border of Uganda and Rwanda. With en-route views at the green terrain, birds, and lunch, you reach the Park to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Rushaga Gorilla Camp.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest (Rushaga)

Get up very early in the morning have breakfast then transfer to the headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas.
When done with briefing, you are allocated in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide who leads you to the green forest to trek the Gorillas for 3-5 hours depending on reported current location.
On meeting the Gorillas, in an hour get your camera with no flash and take photos for keeps. After Gorilla Trek, go to headquarters for Gorilla Trekking Certificate then later to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Rushaga Gorilla Camp.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Go to Queen Elizabeth National Park today after breakfast then proceed on journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Mweya Peninsular and Ishasha Sector a journey that takes you 5 to 7 hours. En-route watch Mountain Rwenzori at a distance, birds and lunch. After a while you reach the Park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Enganzi Lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive & Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel

Embark on Game Drive along the different tracks in the park watching wildlife wander around their natural vegetation habitat. At Mid Day break off for lunch then after continue to the shores of Kazinga Channel then later at 2:30 pm proceed on Afternoon Boat Cruise along Kazinga Channel.
Along the Boat Cruise watch the schools of hippo and crocodiles beneath the waters as well as other wildlife animals along the shores breaking their thirst.
After Boat Cruise, go to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Enganzi Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Today have your morning breakfast then continue on journey to traverse the Uganda Rwanda border towards Ruhengeri District at Volcanoes National Park. En-route watch the green terrain vegetation, birds as well as have lunch. After a while, reach the Park and Check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park

Gorilla Trekking Day is here. Early morning breakfast at 6:30 am then continue to the headquarters for briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then later in allocated groups of 8 with a lead guide, penetrate the forest to trek the Gorillas.
Enter the forest to trek the Gorillas for 3-5 hours according to current location of the Gorillas then after you shall meet them and stay in their presence taking photos for an hour.
When you finish Gorilla trekking proceed back to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 7: Golden Monkey Tracking and Genocide Memorial Visit 

On this Day enjoy your breakfast then go to headquarters for shot briefing on conduct around the Golden Monkeys then later with your guide continue to enter the forest to track the Golden Monkeys for 2-4 hours and when you meet them take many photos to keep.
After Golden Monkey tracking in the green forest, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 8: Departure to Kigali

Have your breakfast then with all luggage depart back to the Kigali International Airport to board flight back home.
