This 3 Days Uganda Chimps safari takes you to Kibale Forest is located in Western Uganda in Kabalore District. It is famous for the highest concentration of primates in Africa. The 3 days chimps Kibale Safari gives you the opportunity to enjoy the incredible experience of primates tracking in Kibale Forest along side with excellent bird watching.
Day 1: Arrival – Kibale Forest National Park.
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be warmly welcomed by you driver guide, greet you and head to Kibale National park. This is a 5-7 hours drive farms, tea plantations, pine tree plantations and traditional homesteads. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Primates lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Expedition.
Have early breakfast and proceed to Kibale forest to track Chimpanzees. Along the trek, you will be exposed to other 12 primates species like the colobus, Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Olive baboons, Red tailed monkeys, the L’hoest , Bush babies, Vervet monkeys and over 350 bird species. The Guide will provide information on both flora and fauna.
Return for lunch at the lodge, relax as you wait for evening excursion to the crater lakes regions near Ndali and later dine; you will be entertained in some of the cultural dances of the country. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Primates lodge.
Day 3: Drive back to Kampala.
Have breakfast and depart for a nature walk in Bigodi swamps adjacent to Kibale Forest. The walk rewards you with about 200 bird species, 8 primates and several antelopes.
Return to the lodge for early lunch and embark on our picnic drive back to Kampala.
