Detailed Itinerary of the 12 Days Budget Rwanda Uganda Gorillas, Wildlife & Chimps Tour

Day 1: Arrival to Volcanoes National Park

After you drop at the Kigali International Airport, you are picked by a driver guide who transfers you for a period of 2 to 3 hours towards Ruhengeri District of Musanze Rwanda at Volcanoes National Park. En-route enjoy lunch then later reach the Park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Ingagi Volcanoes Park View Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park

Today is the Day you watch the rare species of Mountain Gorilla in their natural forest vegetation habitat. You wake up as early as 6:00 am then enjoy breakfast at 6:30 am then later embark on a transfer to the park headquarters for short briefing on code of conduct around the mountain Gorillas.
Later you are allocated to groups of 8 with a park ranger per group then later proceed to enter the green forest vegetation to trek the Mountain Gorillas. Follow through the forest, thick challenging vegetation according to the information provided about the current location of the Gorillas then later you get to meet them.
In their presence, an hour is authentically allowed to take various photos to keep and you should maintain a distance of 7 meters off the Gorilla Group. After Gorilla Trekking, return back to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Ingagi Volcanoes Park View Lodge.

Day 3: Dian Fossey Tomb Hike

Get up early in the morning enjoy breakfast then transfer to the Bisoke starting point where you are briefed on conduct as you hike to the Karisoke Research Center. Hike in groups with a park ranger guide for some hours viewing the greenery en-route then later you get to reach the Center where you are introduced to the life of Dian Fossey the primatologist who surrendered her own life to save that of the Mountain Gorillas that were hunted illegally at the time. After your Dian Fossey Tomb visit, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Ingagi Volcanoes Park View lodge.

Day 4: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi Uganda

Today get up early enjoy your delicious breakfast then embark to traverse the Rwanda Uganda border to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda. En-route have lunch, watch birds and greenery as well as traverse the border with the right documents for clearance. When you reach the Lake, continue for canoeing, boat cruising to close Islands then check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bunyonyi Overland Resort.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

Bwindi Forest National Park is your destination today as you get to trek the mountain Gorillas in their natural forest vegetation habitat.
So enjoy early breakfast then proceed on journey to Bwindi Forest National Park at the Buhoma Sector. En-route, have lunch then continue to Park and when you get here, check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Forest

Get up very early in the morning have breakfast at 6:30 am then proceed to park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the rare Mountain Gorillas in their natural forest vegetation habitat.
After briefing, you are distributed into groups of 8 with a ranger guide then enter the forest to trek the rare species of Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours. When you meet the Gorillas an hour is allowed in their presence taking many photos to keep with you. When finished with Gorilla trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is your destination today. Take breakfast early in the morning then embark on transfer to  Queen Elizabeth National park via the Ishasha Sector for 5 to 7 hours. En-route watch the Mountains of the Moon at a distance as well as birds, lunch and after you get to the Park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Enganzi Lodge.

Day 8: Game Drive & Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel

Have your breakfast early then transfer on Game Drive along various tracks so as to watch the early morning Riser Wildlife animals. You also watch other wildlife animals wander around their natural vegetation habitat with your binoculars at a distance. When finished with your Game Driver, break off for lunch then continue for Boat Cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Here watch schools of hippo beneath the waters as ell as crocodiles and wildlife animals at the shores. After Boat Cruise, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Enganzi Lodge.

Day 9: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Today enjoy breakfast then transfer to Kibale Forest National Park situated close to Fort Portal Town. En-route have lunch, watch birds and the green terrain vegetation, After continue to the Park headquarters then later check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.

Day 10: Chimpanzee Tracking at Kibale Forest

Enjoy breakfast very early in the morning then embark o journey to the Kibale Forest Park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Chimpanzees. You are later distributed into groups of 8 each with a park ranger guide then later you continue into the green forest vegetation to track the amazing Chimpanzees in their natural forest vegetation habitat.
In your groups of 8 proceed to the Kanyanchu Visitor’s Center where you leave from to enter the forest to track the rare species of Chimpanzees in their natural forest habitat. Follow different trails looking for the Chimpanzee then later you shall meet them and stay in their presence taking many photos to keep. After Chimpanzee Tracking, return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.

Day 11: Transfer to Bigodi Wetland Swamp and Kampala

Get up  very early have breakfast then transfer to the the Bigodi Wetland Swamp where you watch numerous bird species in their natural forest vegetation habitat as they fly from one place to another. After your guided walk at Bigodi and bird watching experience and lunch, journey to Kampala. When you reach Kampala, check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Cassia Lodge Buziga.

Day 12: Departure to Entebbe Airport

With your luggage, embark on departure to the Entebbe International airport to board a flight back home.
