Our amazing 8 days safari takes you to the most exciting destinations in Uganda. These include a visit to the popularized Bwindi Impenetrable national park for gorilla trekking and Mgahinga gorilla national park for golden monkey trekking in Kisoro district and Lake Mburo national park. You will therefore have enough time with the primates in their natural habitats for never fading memories. You will also enjoy magnificent views of the big fives including hippos, rhinos, elephants together with zebras, giraffes through game drives and boat cruises.

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo National park.
After your morning breakfast, be ready to meet our company representative who will enlighten you about the amazing safari your yet to have. You will then set off the engine for a 5-6 hours’ drive to Lake Mburo national park with a stopover at the Equator for refreshments. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at the booked lodge for lunch as you prepare for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Expect to see birds and animals like crocodiles. Return to the lodge for dinner and slumber.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Mgahinga National park.
After grabbing your breakfast, have a morning game drive through the park. Expect to see wild game like zebras, giraffes and lions. With enroute lunch, embark on a 4-5 hours’ drive to Mgahinga National park. Check-in at the booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Mountain gorilla trekking.
After breakfast, head to the park offices for briefing and registration and then commence the trek with packed lunch. The activity will take hours to a full day and will give you an opportunity to meet the gorillas, look in their eyes and spend about 1 hour with them. Head back to the lodge as you think about the awesome experience, have dinner and rest.
Day 4: Golden monkey trekking and Batwa cultural experience.
Have breakfast in the morning and drive to the offices for briefing. With the team leader you will be led and head to the Virunga mountains for the endemic and beautiful monkeys. Watch the gold-coated monkeys as they feed on the bamboo leaves for 3 hours. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon prepare for the Batwa experience through the forests and find out how the Batwa lived in the old days. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Set off and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
After having a heavy breakfast, set off for a journey via Kabale-Kisoro road with scenic views of the Kigezi highlands to Bwindi impenetrable national park using the Rushaga sector in the South. Check-in at the booked lodge for dinner and overnight in preparation for gorilla trekking the following day.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking.
As early as 7:00 am after breakfast, our guide will pick you up and take you to the park headquarters for registration and briefing. You will be informed about the precautions to take and Later, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek after being divided into groups of 8 depending on your pace. Head to the forests where the mountain gorillas live for the amazing experience with 1 hour for photography and return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge chosen from above.
Day 7: Birding and cultural encounters.
After having breakfast in the morning, you will embark on the birding activity in the park in Rushaga region. With over 350 bird species and 23 endemics, you will be able to see different bird species like Blue-headed Sunbird, Short-tailed Warbler among others. Have enroute lunch and in the evening have a walk to the cultural communities of Batwa and Bakiga, and encounter with them. They will portray their past life through storytelling, singing and dancing then afterwards, have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.
Day8: Departure from Bwindi to Kampala/ Entebbe.
After grabbing breakfast, you will be transferred back with a stopover at the Equator for lunch and photography to Kampala or Entebbe International airport to catch your next flight.
