7-Day Safari with Primates and Wildlife in Rwanda and Uganda
The 7 Day Safari with Primates and Wildlife in Rwanda and Uganda begins in Volcanoes National Park, where you will come across the critically endangered mountain gorillas. From there, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for game viewing. Kibale Forest National Park for Chimpanzee trekking. This safari is a combination of Rwanda and Uganda.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Get to Volcanoes National Park after arriving at Kigali International Airport.
Our knowledgeable guide will meet and greet you at the airport on the first day. From there, you will be transferred to the stunning Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri District Musanze Rwanda. With lunch on the way, the trip takes roughly two to three hours. The trip through rural villages and terraced slopes provides an insight into Rwanda’s natural beauty and way of life. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trek in Volcanoes National Park
Wake up very early in the morning enjoy breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters of the Park for short briefing on the conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. Following your training, you are divided into groups of eight and given a knowledgeable Park Ranger Guide who leads you into the jungle to explore the uncommon species of mountain gorillas. Trek the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours in the forest vegetation following guidelines on their current location in the forest then later you meet them, an hour is allowed in their presence taking photos to keep with you. When you get finished with Gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park, embark on departure to Kigali International Airport to board flight back home.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, pack all your belongings and embark on journey to traverse the Rwanda Uganda border to the stunning Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You follow to traverse the border with the clear documents then later you proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a period of 5 to 7 hours and when you arrive at the park’s check-in lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise – Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
Day 4 of the Safari will begin with a mouth-watering breakfast thereafter you set out for a morning game drive that will expose you to varied animals including the Big Game Elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, warthogs, hyenas, and numerous other species are found in this park. Marital eagles, African fin feet, African skimmers, and lesser flamingos are just a few of the abundant fauna. For lunch and rest, you will return to the Lodge.
You take a boat ride on the well-known Kazinga Channel, a natural canal that links Lake Edward and Lake George, later in the day. Hippos, elephants, Nile crocodiles, warthogs, and birds like pelicans, kingfishers, and African fish eagles can all be found here. After that, you will travel to Kibale National Park for dinner and the night.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking – Bigodi Wetland
After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu for briefing before you proceed to track man’s closest relative of all the apes- the chimpanzees. These will take you between 4-6 hours to find and once you find them you will be allowed 1 hour in their presence watching them go about their way of life. Track and then head back to the resort for lunch.
After lodge, you will head out for the Bigodi wetland walk-4.5km walk along the rich wildlife corridor of Kibale forest. This is a 3 hours walk that allows you to interact closely with the forest and spot a number of bird species such as the Kingfishers. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast in the morning, proceed to the bustling city of Kampala. En-route break off to visit the Nakayima tree a historical Tree in Mubende tree where you break off to take photos. After the adventure you proceed to Kampala and on arrival check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 7: Transfer back to Entebbe International Airport
The seven-day Primates & Wildlife Safari comes to an end today. You will have a delicious breakfast at your hotel. You will then proceed to Entebbe international airport for your flight depending on your flight schedule or your hotel.
