Detailed Itinerary of the 8 Days (Budget) Uganda Wildlife, Chimps & Gorilla Tour

Day 1: Pick up then hotel

Arrive at the Entebbe International Airport then meet our driver to transfer you to hotel in Kampala. While in Kampala, explore various attractions like the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, Namirembe Cathedral etc. After you proceed to check-in hotel for Dinner and Overnight at Cassi Lodge Buziga.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Enjoy early breakfast in the morning, then transfer on a 5 to 7 hours’ drive to Kibale Forest National Park. En-route have lunch then continue on journey towards Fort Portal then to Kibale Forest National Park. After a while you reach the Park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest 

Wake up early have breakfast then go to park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Chimpanzees then later you are distributed into groups of 8 with a park ranger guide who proceeds you into the green forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours.
After a while, you follow different trails and after you meet the Chimpanzees and stay in their presence taking photos to keep. After Chimpanzee Tracking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning breakfast then transfer on journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park and en-route have lunch, watch Mountain Rwenzori. After a while, you reach the park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bush Lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive & Boat Cruise

Today wake up very early in the morning have breakfast at 6:30 am then after go on Game Drive along the various tracks in the park watching wildlife wander around their natural vegetation habitat. The wildlife you watch include elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas, warthogs, alibi, silver buck etc. After Game Drive, break off for lunch then transfer for Boat Cruise along the Kazinga channel and here you watch schools of hippo, crocodiles beneath the waters. After the cruise, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bush Lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

Enjoy breakfast then embark on transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park. En-route have on your journey for 4 to 6 hours have lunch, watch Mountain Rwenzori at a distance then after you reach the park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Haven Lodge Buziga.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest 

Early Morning breakfast then transfer to park headquarters for briefing  conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. After short briefing, you are located into groups of 8 then with a park ranger, enter the forest to trek the Gorillas for 3-5 hours.
After a while trekking the Gorillas in the forest, you meet them and stay in their presence taking photos to keep. After Gorilla trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Haven Lodge Buhoma.

Day 8: Depart to Kampala

Enjoy breakfast then with luggage, depart to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
