The 4 days safari brings you to the breathtaking mountain gorilla trekking in their native habitats at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Kisoro district. The safari will end as you unwind on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, taking in the cool breeze and stunning views of the surroundings. The journey will start and end in Kampala, the country’s capital as planned by Gorilla Expeditions.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Depending on your location in Kampala, our company representative will meet you after your breakfast and kick off the journey to the Southwestern part of Uganda with two stopovers. You will have one at the Equator for photography and Igongo Cultural center for lunch alongside nice views of the banana plantations and the Kigezi highlands. Arrive at the park in the evening where you will check in at the booked lodge for dinner and rest as you wait for the major highlight the following day.

Meal plan: Lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community walk.
After breakfast, leave the lodge with packed lunch and meet the driver for a transfer to park headquarters for briefing and registration. Thereafter, proceed to the forest and embark on the search for mountain gorillas, which will take you about 2- 8 hours depending on their movement. On finding them, you will have a great time with them for 1 hour and watch them play, feeding, breastfeeding and take pictures. In the evening, refresh and embark on a community walk to the Batwa locals and watch how these indigenous people lived. Dinner and overnight at the booked lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Following breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the 2nd deepest lake in Africa. You will be welcomed by the sounds of birds where its name Bunyonyi came from due to the abundance of birds. On your arrival, embark on a boat to the lake with scenic views of the different birds as you tour around the islands and take pictures. Transfer to the booked lodge for lunch and in the evening relax on the shores as you feel the cool breezes. Dinner and overnight at the reserved lodge.

Day 4: Departure back to Kampala.
Have breakfast and check out of the lodge and meet the driver for a transfer back to Kampala with enroute lunch. You will arrive late in the evening with lifetime memories making the end of the trip.
