Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Entebbe.

As you land at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet an Active African Vacations driver guide, who will take you to your reserved lodge in Entebbe.  Following checking in, you will go through the itinerary to be well acquainted about the safari. You can choose to spend the evening taking a tour of the Botanical Gardens before returning to your lodging for dinner and rest for a night.

Meal plan: Bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park with enroute to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

After having a morning bite, set off the engine for a picturesque drive heading to the Northwestern part of Uganda in Masindi district. Have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for relaxation, refreshment, and later commence White Rhino tracking with a camera close to you to take pictures. Proceed with the journey to Masindi town for lunch and arrive at Murchison falls national park, where the thunderous roar of the falls reigns and check-in.  Have dinner and overnight stay at the booked lodge.

Day 3: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise.

After a hearty breakfast in the morning, set out on a game drive across the park’s Northern most section. Expect to see a variety of wild animals, including elephants, lions, and buffaloes, as well as birds like the Grey Crowned crane. After your break and lunch, go back to the lodge. In the evening, set off for a boat cruise to the base of the falls. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 4:  Transfer to Queen Elizabeth, evening game drive.

After a morning bite, you will be transferred to one of the most popular national park of Queen Elizabeth. Along the way, you will have scenic views of different ecosystems, bird species among others. On arrival at the park, have lunch and in the evening go for a game drive around the park expect to different wildlife including the big fives like elephants, hippos among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 5: Morning game drive and boat cruise.

Kick off the day with a morning bite and embark on a game drive in search of wildlife. Expect to see caped buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, lions among others. Relax and return to the lodge for lunch as you get ready for a boat cruise in the afternoon on the renowned Kazinga Channel. This channel harbors most of the hippos, Nile crocodiles and birds, which you will luckily enjoy. Return to the lodge for dinner and retire for a night.

Day 6:  Ishasha drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable.

After having a morning breakfast, meet the driver for a drive through the Ishasha sector in the South of the park. Expect to see tree-climbing lions as they climb trees and how they climb down having spotted their prey. Proceed with the journey and arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable national park with scenic views along the way. Check-in at the booked lodge for dinner and retire for a night.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking and relaxation.

Have breakfast first thing in the morning, then transfer to the park’s administrative center for a briefing with packed lunch from the lodge. After being divided into groups, the trekking will start. The length of your wild adventure can last up to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movement. You will be able to stay with the found gorillas for 1 hour for a picture session. Trek back to the starting point and meet the driver for drive back to the lodge for dinner and slumber.

Day 8: Morning game drive, transfer to Entebbe.

On the last day of the adventure, you will have morning breakfast and prepare for a transfer back to Entebbe. You will have a lunch enroute along the way and then proceed to the airport to catch up with your flight back home. This marks the end of our safari.
